  The Seat of Motivation : The fake JW heart

  i realised the other day how weird it is that jw's are taught that the heart and mind are seperate.

  by enlarge the mind is satans world, its influence, your questions, doubts and unreliable thinking... all this takes place there, the heart is your seat of motivation, its what interacts with god when he opens it up, its where you talk to him from and where your good and bad motives arise (contradictory) but your heart cant be trusted (contradictory.).

  either way, the jw's potray a seperation of heart and mind.

  The latest teaching is the "heart" is the innermost person, but without the mind there is no person, no emotion nor any feeling.

  There isn't even a symbiotic relationship because without the mind the "heart" simply doesn't exist.

  The "heart" concept is just typical religious double speak.

  In other words if we aren't supposed to trust or rely upon our minds or our innermost person than who can we trust? Them?

  Oh how convenient.

  A Popular Question Raised by people who were never JW.

  i talk to a lot of people about the watchtower because it comes up in conversation all of the time.. money eventually becomes a topic as it is a very wealthy corporation.. so the question is always raised and it is a good one, "who controls it?".

  people want to know "who has the power of the purse strings?

  " and quite frankly so do i.. there is someone behind the scenes who knows so much that the wtbts could never fire him or her.

  i am a believer in god and would like to assure those other believers on this forum that no disrespect is intended by this post.

  i just found it amusing and so am sharing it :.

  he had only one major publication.it wasn't in english.it had no references.it wasn't published in a refereed journal.some even doubt he wrote it by himself.it may be true that he created the world, but what has he done since then?his cooperative efforts have been quite limited.the scientific community has had a hard time replicating his results.he never applied to the ethics board for permission to use human subjects.when one experiment went awry he tried to cover it up by drowning his subjects.when subjects didn't behave as predicted, he deleted them from the sample.he rarely came to class, just told students to read the book.some say he had his son teach the class.he expelled his first two students for learning.although there were only ten requirements, most of his students failed his tests.his office hours were infrequent and usually held on a mountain top.no record of working well with colleagues.

  Does the WT still use Zech.8:23 as a last days prophecy ? In veiw of the fact (evidently) the numbers of converts are decreasing worldwide ?

  this is a scripture that was used a lot during the 70`s & 80`s proving that the end was so close,and it was to culminate in a grand influx before the great tribulation.

  " it will be in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold,yes ,they will actually take hold of the skirt of a man who is a jew,saying,"we will go with you people for we have heard that god is with you people.".

  when you look at the reality of the situation in this day....,their seems to be a marked decline in worldly converts in christendoms lands.....,mainly baptisms coming from young born ins,..... and certainly no marked increases from either asian, oriental, or other non christian lands,that would seem to indicate another failed prediction/prophecy we can credit to the f&ds class.

  do they check this site?.

  im 18 years old,baptized at 14. really my problems started a few weeks ago.

  I'm a bit older, but am a born-in and can tell you in all honesty that the WTBT$ covers up child abuse and molestation.

  There was a man in my cong. that molested girl after girl and, because his daddy was the PO, it got swept under the rug for over twenty years; the entire elderbody, CO, DO and headquarters knew about it too yet nothing was ever done. Luckily he finally slipped up where it couldn't be hidden and has been thrown in jail, but unfortunately he was only disfellowshipped because the local media caught wind of the story and the elders did "damage control". This is an account I have first hand knowledge of, but I know there were others over the years.

  it seems that this whole "brazin conduct" stuff is just the catch all for the org.

  now i am new to jwn and have not shadowed the door of a kh for years but really??

  now i ride a harley and have tattos, i am mid 50"s professional business owner, look like the neighbor next door.

  Yep it's the new catchall.

  The elderberries handbook makes it sound like brazen conduct refers to sex, but there are many of us who know they use it for anything THEY don't like.

  It’s like the South Park episode where they have to yell, ”it’s comin’ right for us” before they can “legally” shoot/hunt any animal.

  The same is true here, all the elderberries have to do is call brazen conduct and now they have “permissible” grounds to come after you.

  i have been reading things for a while.

  in approximately 20 months it will be the year 2014. that year will be 1914+100 years.

  i don't know how the wts is going to get around that if the "present system" is still in existence.

  I'm with LostGeeration; they're already doing/planning damage control and since this is the case they have plenty of time to work it so their precious 1914 still fits.

  I don't see 1914 going anywhere anytime soon, but if it does I think their excuse is as straight shooter said, "Jayhoover has set a date"; you know blame God.

  This means they can change any date and say it fits with THEIR prophecy; if we don't like it then we are being impatient sorry little ingrates.

  however it is quite apparent that there are ranks within the jehovah's witnesses.. this is the list i have so far.

  Rewriting J. Witness mistakes.

  if the governing body could turn back time and do a rewrite or change their past teachings what would be their top priority ?.

  would they have to eliminate everything and start again?.

  any one want to tell them what to shred before forensics arrive?.
